Inbox, made by Josh Archer, watches your email quietly and only interrupts you about messages that need action on the same day. Everything else is gathered into a single summary you can read when it suits you.
By default it only reads. It will not send, reply to or delete anything unless you specifically ask, which makes it a gentle first step for people wary of giving a bot access to their mailbox. Over time you can teach it what counts as urgent for you. A single daily summary is usually enough for newsletters, receipts and routine updates, and reading them in one sitting is faster than dipping in all day. If something it held back turns out to be urgent, tell it, and that kind of message will be flagged next time.
It suits people who check email too often because they fear missing something important, such as managers, freelancers and owners. Give it examples of truly urgent mail, choose a time for the daily summary and review its alerts for a week to make sure nothing urgent slipped into the summary.
